Womens Guide To Getting Started With Online Dating

November 20, 2016

So you have exhausted all other avenues for meeting your dream guy, you are tired of the bar and club scene, and your age is beginning to no longer be on your side! What is a woman to do?

I have one suggestion for you in these modern times, that is online dating.

Below is my quick 3 Step Guide to online dating for women.

Step One:

The first step is naturally finding the right dating website that will suit your specific needs.

There are hundreds of dating websites online these days. Some are very large, some cater for specific people, others unfortunately are full of fake profiles. But do not let that scare you off.

Find a couple of sites that suit you. Try some of the larger and well known online dating sites, but also consider some of the smaller ones that cater for what you are looking for.

For example there are dating websites that are specifically for people working in certain professions, there are others for specific religious beliefs, race, age, the list is endless.

Step 2:

Now that you have selected a site that you like, it is now time for you to choose a profile picture of yourself.

Think of it like your Facebook profile. Just remember that this picture is the first thing men are going to see when searching for potential dating matches.

My suggestion is to pick or take a picture of yourself that highlights your best feature. It could be your eyes, your nose, a picture from your left hand side, or your beautiful smile.

Most importantly though, do not over do the make up! You want to show a realistic image of yourself. Or when it comes time to go on a date, men will most likely not be interested if you do not look as good as you made yourself out to be.

Step 3:

It is now time to start using that wonderful mind of yours, and thinking of what you want to say in your profile.

You want your profile to be honest but interesting. It is your profile that will ultimately determine how many men want to meet you, and the compatibility of those men to you.

There is much advice written about creating an online dating profile, but I tend to think it is best to just take an honest and light hearted approach.

It is cliche, but just be yourself!

Also do not go overboard with it. For example, when the site asks you about any pets you may have, just list them. Do not write a short story about how your little puppy or several cats are just so cute, and how you could not live without them.
